Before working with Kira my daughter was effectively illiterate and thought she hated learning, or rather was not smart enough to learn anything. So much so that she refused to go to school for fear of being stupid. Kira immediately created a safe environment and connection with her and made learning fun. She has come up to grade level in her reading, learning cursive, and is excited to see Kira every week. Because of Kira, we are ready to intergrate into the traditional school system as not only did Kira provide the academic skill set, she infilled a self confidence in my daughter that she had long since lost in the class room.

My daughter had her initial assessment in person with Kira from where she prepared a plan targeted for my daughter's needs. Within a few sessions my little one has shown a significant improvement. The instructor keeps the lesson interesting and my daughter is always looking forward to her sessions.

In 2019, Samuel was diagnosed with a working memory disability, which difficult him to retain when he is reading and it affects his reading comprehension. On the other hand, he was having difficulties recognizing the sounds of letters and words. After Samuel started to be taught by Mrs. Friesen-Sage, he has demonstrated a significant improve on his reading and writing. As a result, Samuel increased his ELA grades during his grade 6th. Mrs. Friesen-Sage have been an extreme positive addition to his life. She has demonstrated care, mentorships and she has gone beyond in providing him coaching about his learning style with a surplus of materials and teaching strategies. We agreed that Samuel is blessed to count with a teacher as Mrs. Kira Friesen-Sage and we are confident he will success having her teaching support.
